‘World’s oldest sisters’ have lived by means of 9 a long time and have mega mixed age

Meet the world’s oldest sisters whose combined age will leave you astounded.

Six siblings from Missouri, USA, have been officially recognised by Guinness World Records for having the highest combined age of any six living sisters. The ladies’ ages range from 88 to 101 – totalling an impressive 571 years 293 days and still counting.

The eldest sister, Norma, currently resides in Ohio, while the remaining five – Lorene, Maxine, Doris, Margaret and Elma – all live in Missouri. Over their lengthy lives spanning nine decades, these sisters have experienced a vast array of historical events, from the Great Depression and World War II to the recent Covid-19 pandemic.

Despite admitting to occasional disagreements, Elma insists that she and her sisters “never stayed mad” at each other. They’ve maintained a tight-knit bond throughout their lives, often embarking on trips together wearing numbered shirts indicating their birth order.

With three of the sisters sharing July birthdays, they typically gather every summer for a celebratory picnic – a tradition they initiated in their younger years.

“This record attempt has been an exciting time for these sisters who are all now in the twilight of their lives,” said Norma’s son, Dean Jacob.

Janet Douglas, a lifelong friend of the sisters, also shared her thoughts, adding: “They are a close, intelligent and lively group of girls, who also doted on their only brother, Stanley.”

The sisters’ older brother, Stanley, would have been 102 this year, but he sadly died following a bicycle accident at the age of 81.

Dean explained: “But for that unfortunate accident, we believe he would still be alive today.”

Speaking about her aunts’ world record recognition, Stanley’s daughter, Gail Agers, told KMOV: “I think he would be thrilled with it.

“Yes, and very proud of all of his sisters because they all meant the world to him.”
