We all wish we could know the beauty secrets of the stars – and we’ve just got a step closer to achieving it.
Anne Hathaway has recently shared one of her beauty secrets. The actress, 41, took to TikTok to reveal a simple trick for plumping up lips – using nothing more than a hair pin.
While shooting a new campaign, Anne noticed her upper lip was looking a bit “wilted”. She asked for a hair pin from her team, and used it to gently stimulate her lip, aiming to increase blood flow in the area.

Despite receiving some odd looks as if she had “three heads”, the method seemed to work. However, the glamorous star did issue a significant safety warning.
Anne cautioned: “You can overdo this. You can push too hard. It’s meant to be a gentle, gentle thing that you don’t do for longer than 30 seconds.
“Don’t stab yourself. If you’ve drawn blood, you’ve gone too far. It’s just a little something to wake your upper lip up.”
The beauty tip has since gone viral, with over 600 comments on the video. Fans praised the actress for entering her “influencer era”, and appreciated the candidness of the video.
One person gushed: “Okay teacher Annie. Thank you.” Another said: “As someone with barely an upper lip, I thank you.”
A third chimed in with: “This woman has remained beautiful over the years inside and out – Just naturally gorgeous and so talented.”
Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: “You’re always so nice and personable to your fans. Love that about you.”
It’s been a whopping 18 years since Anne graced the silver screen as Andrea Sachs in The Devil Wears Prada, which premiered at the LA Film Festival 18 years ago. Fans are gobsmacked that nearly two decades have passed since the iconic film’s debut.
Since her days at Runway Magazine, the actress has dazzled audiences in hits like Les Miserables and One Day. She also more recently wowed in The Idea of You.
