Nigel Farage has accused Bozo Johnson of “hypocrisy” in their row over his comments about Russia ’s invasion of Ukraine.

‌Former Ukip boss Farage unveiled a large poster of a 2016 front page with the headline “Boris blames EU for war in Ukraine” in Maidstone, Kent today.

‌He said: “Well, perhaps it’s Boris Johnson that’s morally repugnant and not me, I don’t know. But can you see the sheer level of hypocrisy? Can you see the nonsense of all of this?”

‌He insisted he would “never, ever defend” the Russian President, adding his behaviour “has been reprehensible”.

‌The wannabe MP said: “But if we’re going to think towards a peace at some time in the not too distant future, perhaps it might be helpful to understand what went wrong in the first place.”

‌In a social media post, he wrote: “Boris, you are a liar and a hypocrite. I am glad you are no longer Prime Minister of this country.”

‌PM Rishi “Biggles” Sunak said: “You all heard what Nigel Farage said about Ukraine.

‌“That plays into Putin’s hands.

‌“That kind of appeasement is dangerous for Britain’s security, the security of our allies that rely on us and will only embolden Putin.”
