Squawking mob of ‘b**tard’ seagulls sq. up over Maccies and beer on evening out

EXCLUSIVE: Everyone knows that Scouse seagulls are solid but it’s not only humans they terrorise – when it comes to left over fast food, it’s every bird for himself

Seagulls are known for terrorising towns but the Scouse ones are something else.

The “ripped ASBO” beasts of Liverpool have earned themselves the most aggressive nicknames from “flying gangsters” to “XL Gullies.” Earlier this year, the Daily Star reported how a jacked-up gargantuan “top level boss” gull has been wreaking havoc in the city centre where there appears to be an uprising in flying fiends nabbing people’s pasties.

And it’s not just during the day that the beady-eyed birds are at large. Be careful after a few pints or they could rob you of your Maccies.

Liverpool photographer Sean Dagnall captured the birds in action after a birthday night out on the tiles. Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star, the 38-year-old said: “I’d been on a night out in town for my birthday and always take my camera out.

“I like taking pictures of the local wildlife and the seagulls just fascinated me. It was a quiet night in town but the seagulls were out rooting through bins at 5am, swiping all the leftovers and hanging around outside Maccies.

“They take great pictures and I love the fact that they don’t respect us as being top of the food chain. If they want your sandwich, they are getting your sandwich.”
