The country is facing a stark choice at this election. Five more years of Conservative chaos, dishonesty and sleaze, or the chance to press reset, rescue the NHS and get the UK back on its feet again.
The NHS is on its knees after years of shameful neglect under the Conservatives. I have listened to countless stories during this campaign of people waiting hours for an ambulance, weeks to see their GP or months to start cancer treatment.
That is why the Liberal Democrats have put fixing the NHS and care at the heart of our campaign. We would give people new legal rights to see a GP within a week and start cancer treatment within two months.
And we would offer free personal care to the elderly and disabled in their own homes. When I became leader, I made clear my job was to beat Conservative MPs and get rid of this appalling government.
Since then we’ve won four historic by-elections, from Devon to Shropshire, and beat the Conservatives into third place at the local elections. But we cannot take anything for granted.
We know the Tories will do anything to cling to power, pumping millions of pounds from their mega-rich donors into seats that are on a knife edge, in a last-ditch attempt to cling on to power.
This is an ABC election, anyone but the Conservatives. And in many seats across the country, the Liberal Democrats are in second place and in pole position to defeat the Conservatives.
So I have a message to Labour supporters in these seats: lend us your vote on July 4th, to help deliver the change the country is crying out for.
