Tarot reader shares who will win General Election – and which celebration will tank

An astrologer has unveiled who will win the general election. Polling stations across the UK will open at 7am tomorrow (Thursday, July 4) following Rishi Sunak’s unexpected decision to call a snap election.

Polls have consistently shown Labour storming ahead of the Conservatives as the vote approaches.

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Star, psychic Inbaal Honigman has revealed what her tarot cards say about the future of No 10 – including who will become our next Prime Minister.

Speaking on behalf of Spin Genie, Honigman says her tarot cards predict the next PM to be a person who’s ‘worked in the legal field and is known for his patience’.

“The stark and sombre Three of Swords Tarot card represents the leader who emerges at the end of the election,” she said. “Swords cards are linked with thinking, ideas, writing and legal matters, so the winner will be a thinking person who has excelled in studies and previous careers.

“It’s a card of overcoming adversity, which fits Sir Keir Starmer well, both personally and politically.”

If Labour does come into power, the tarot reader thinks David Lammy could be a good fit for Justice Secretary after pulling the Hierophant Tarot which represents a ‘booking individual with lots of experience in Parliament.

Rachel Reeves could make the Treasury if the Two of Pentacles card works in her favour, but the position might be taken by an ‘older and traditional candidate’ who likes to do things by the book.

Despite being predicted to lose the majority, Honigman predicts the Conservatives will enjoy ‘mixed fortunes’ on election day. “On the one hand, the stressful 9 of Swords card predicts quite a beating in terms of voter share,” she said.

“Overall, votes for Sunak’s party are lower than expected, and there’s anger and tension within the party, says the tarot, as blame is thrown around for the disappointing performance.”

However, the Chariot Tarot card speaks of ‘determination’, implying many ‘well-known’ Tories will be able to retain their seat. “A card called the Six of Cups, which represents unrealistic optimism, speaks of short-lived Conservative optimism, hoping to negotiate a coalition, but this is a card that turns its back on the past,” the astrologer explains.

The Liberal Democrats, led by Ed Davey in case you needed to be reminded, will completely tank at the election according to the cards. Honigman says the party received the unfortunate 5 of Pentacles Tarot card which represents the ‘dark night of the soul’.

“This is a hopeless card that appears when someone can’t help others because they won’t help themselves,” she said. “It means that the Lib Dems fail to gain much voter support, but even worse – can’t figure out why.”

Surprisingly, the psychic sees a strong turnout for the Green party. They received the Fool card which is symbolic for ‘new beginnings’ – but that doesn’t mean they’ll gain any seats in Parliament. “The feeling in the party will be that of success, thanks to an impressively large overall voter share,” Honigman suggests. “It’s a card of travel, which means that courting new voter bases who are interested in international issues, works well for the Green Party.”

As for Nigel Farage’s Reform, the Star card pulled speaks of ‘dashed hopes’ for the controversial party. However, the ex-UKIP party shares the 6 of Cups with the Tories, meaning a ‘desire’ to join forces could be ignited.
