Jay Slater’s pal Lucy Mae Law has been hounded with nasty comments after her old Facebook account was discovered by sick trolls.
The 18-year-old, who was believed to be the last person to make contact with the missing teen, recently broke her silence with a cryptic message.
Posting on social media for the first time since Slater mysteriously vanished following a weekend festival in Tenerife on June 17 – Lucy uploaded a selfie of the pair on social media, with a crying emoji and blue love heart.

It is thought the apprentice bricklayer, from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, called Lucy to say he was lost in the ‘middle of nowhere’ and that his phone was about to die.
A Facebook account under the name ‘Lucy Mae’, which hasn’t been used since August 23, 2022, has been unearthed by trolls – who have flooded her post with nasty comments.
In a two-year-old status asking if anyone is selling a ticket for Leeds Festival, one twisted user pretending to be Jay Slater himself, wrote: “Please Lucy, find me,” and “Just tell them the truth.”
Another troll wrote: “Oy, Lucy Mae, Lucy Mae Law, Lucy Law, Lucy Mae New – what’s with all the names? Why did you not want to show your face on TV? But it’s all over here, and your account you got rid of? Why not tell the truth, your story changed so much. Time to stop all your jollies now, and go where you belong!”
A third penned: “Absolute horrible person makes a 19-year-old go missing,” while a fourth dubbed the teen ‘Lu-ci-fer’.” The inactive account is filled with images that appear to be Lucy, most of them edited with Snapchat filters. It states that she is from Burnley, in Lancashire, and is single.
Spanish police called off their official manhunt for Slater last month, but confirmed they’re still following ‘several leads’. A local woman says she spoke to Slater the morning he disappeared. At around 7.30am, he asked the cleaner when the next bus would arrive, which wasn’t scheduled until 10am. It is thought the teen then attempted the gruelling 11 hour hike back to his holiday let.
