England’s matches in the Euros have been lacking in the excitement department so far.
Fans have been hoping that Gareth Southgate and the lads are gearing up to add a bit more excitement to their performance this tournament.
One thing England fans can’t complain about so far is the weather for the games – which means the nation’s beer gardens have been brimming.

Even though there haven’t been a huge number of goals so far, the hot weather has seen the packed fan zones go ballistic – almost as if the lack of goals has made fans pack all their excitement into a handful of key moments.
An estimated 2,290,977 pints were spilled last Sunday the moment England equalised against Slovakia. Because of this, to avoid the lager shower that has – occasionally – rained upon fans following the odd Jude Bellingham bicycle kick, I’ve been donning a pint-cho to keep me out of the splash zone and protect my rather lovely England shirt.
The idea of having to wash stains out of my spotless white home shirt could bring a tear to my eye – but luckily the collaboration between Heineken and Rain Kiss means there are no dramas on the rare occasion England actually net one.
Ahead of the weekend, Patrick Fitzsimons, Owner of The Faltering Fullback said; “Having seen a number of punters spill their beers during the big 95th minute, I think pubs up and down the country are expecting to see even more celebrations and spills during the Switzerland game.
“If you haven’t been able to get to the matches in Germany, there is no doubt that the pub is the best place to watch the action. We’re expecting even more people to head to ours and I’m sure that will be replicated in pubs up and down the country – who knows, if we see another belter from the team, it could be more like 3 million pints spilt across the nation!”
Heineken Marketing Manager, Stephanie Dexter added: “For decades, Heineken® has not only celebrated football fans but also championed the glorious, crisp pint and all its beauty.
“However, when these worlds collide during national tournaments, unfortunately, it can be dangerous for your beer…and your outfit. So this summer we’ve intervened. The Pint-cho is fully beer resistant, it looks great and is a serious fashion statement.
“Beer will inevitably be spilt in pubs and pub gardens on Sunday. But it’s ok. Fans can style it out in a Pint-cho.”
