With every new day comes a new Jay Slater theory.
The longer the search for the missing 19-year-old goes on, the more the internet goes into overdrive with crazy tales of what might have happened to him.
Already we’ve heard many far-fetched narratives from him “getting on the wrong bus” to being “stuck to a cactus,” after the youngster vanished in Tenerife on June 17.

But now, there’s more doing the rounds – many of which seem to stem from the Snapchat picture Jay apparently took from the Airbnb where convicted drug dealer Ayub Qassim let him stay the night before.

Qassim told the press he’d lent Jay a blanket but many have questioned whether it is a blanket or a dress in the picture. Some even suggest a woman’s foot can be seen in the image.
On the Jay Slater Discussions and Theories Facebook page, which has almost 16,000 members, one commented: “This doesn’t look like a blanket, it doesn’t drop right especially as he’s standing on steps… this looks more like a dress!!”
Another added: “Two black boots and a 3rd foot wearing sandals.”
One replied: “3 feet on this if you look proper think woman’s foot.”

Meanwhile, over on TikTok, other suggestions on how to find him have piled in from one suggesting Cristiano Ronaldo should fund a crack team of investigators to track down the Lancashire teen.
Another said: “Is anyone aware if Jay supports a football/soccer team because for example, if he supported Liverpool maybe we could bring out Mo Salah and lure Jay out of the forest? Just a thought.”
One person even suggested Jay could have joined a search party to look for himself.

“Might be a long shot but av (sic) heard that sumtimes the missing person is in the search party?? what if Jay is with people looking for himself cos he doesn’t really know what’s happenin??! Soz if it sounds silly but could be a possibility.”
Another wrote: “Serious question…as it happened to me out in Tenerife and I was in there for 12 hours…Is it possible he’s nipped to a toilet and the lock on the cubicle door has jammed? Have the public toilets in the area been searched?”
On X, alien involvement was a popular theory as one user said: “I’ve just watched half a video on the mysterious caves on Tenerife where supposedly supernatural beings (aliens?) have appeared, some references to miners in 2012 who reported beings that floated…well…if the hills are full of caves, get looking for Jay Slater there.”
Another added: “Is it possible that Jay Slater was abducted by aliens? I know it’s a long shot but maybe #NASA could help with one of their radio telescopes or something.”
