Jay Slater pal Lucy Mae Law quits search and goes house as she’s achieved all she will be able to

The close pal of still-missing British 19-year-old Jay Slater has flown home – despite the search for him continuing.

Lucy Mae Law has played a central figure since Slater went missing on June 17 after travelling from a rave to the remote Airbnb in the mountains of Tenerife with two men. Jay, from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire had posted a Snapchat video of himself at the Casa Abuela Tina, near the village of Masca, shortly before making his last phone call to Lucy Mae before he disappeared.

The search for the him was officially called off two weeks ago, nearly two weeks after he went missing, and his last known location was half a mile north of Masca village. to the teen’s welfare.

Jay Slater’s mates have left Tenerife

Despite ongoing efforts by emergency workers, including the Civil Guard, mountain rescue team and fire crews, the challenging terrain of the Rural de Teno park is proving difficult to search, with the family now performing their own search with friends . . . but Lucy Mae will no longer be involved.

According to the Daily Mail, she has flown home alongside two other of Slater’s pals – Brad Hargreaves and Brandon Hodgson. They were all together at the Papagayo nightclub the night Jay went missing, with Lucy Mae thought to have headed home earlier this week while the other two are also leaving the island.

Her account of what happened has been heavily scrutinised by an army of online sleuths convinced she has something to hide. It was Lucy who was the last known person to speak to the 19-year-old who told her he was lost, thirsty and had 1% phone battery, before vanishing without trace in Tenerife.

Lucy has deactivated her Facebook account. But it hasn’t stopped armchair detectives rooting out one of her old ones, spamming it with hate and dubbing her ‘Lu-ci-fer.’ In a two-year-old status asking if anyone is selling a ticket for Leeds Festival, one twisted user pretending to be Jay Slater himself, wrote: “Please Lucy, find me,” and “Just tell them the truth.”

The inactive account is filled with images that appear to be Lucy, most of them edited with Snapchat filters. It states that she is from Burnley in Lancashire, and is single .Earlier this week she broke her silence on Instagram for the first time in weeks with a crypric message which fuelled more mystery. She uploaded a selfie of her and Jay along with a crying emoji and a blue love heart but soon afterwards, it was removed.
