The search for missing British teenager Jay Slater could be plunged into chaos, after extreme weather warnings were issued for the entire island of Tenerife.
The 19-year-old went missing on June 17 after travelling from a rave to the remote Airbnb in the mountains with two men. Jay, from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire had posted a Snapchat video of himself at the Casa Abuela Tina, near the Tenerife village of Masca, shortly before making his last phone call to a pal before he disappeared.
The search for the 19-year-old was officially called off two weeks ago, nearly two weeks after he went missing, and his last known location was half a mile north of Masca village. to the teen’s welfare.

Despite ongoing efforts by emergency workers, including the Civil Guard, mountain rescue team and fire crews, the challenging terrain of the Rural de Teno park is proving difficult to search.
And that job is now being made even worse, despite the family seemingly searching new areas on the island, and TikTokkers also getting involved, none of the group can avoid 35c-40c scorching temperatures.
According to local officials, the horrific temperatures are due to land in Tenerife at around 10am on Thursday, but other troublesome weather systems will also take place prior.
The notice states:

Strong Waves: Active from 3:00pm on Wednesday until 11:59pm on Thursday, with potential extension to Friday.

Affected Areas: East, south, and west of the island, particularly the northwest and southeast extremes, and the Anaga-Agaete channel between Tenerife and Gran Canaria.

Expected Conditions: Northeastern winds of 50 to 61 km/h (force 7)
And Met Office date shows that Friday will see a high of 35c, with night temperatures staying at around 22c.
There are also UV issues, as a rating of 10 – the highest – has been issued, meaning anyone unprotected will be at risk of burning.
