The dad of missing British teenager Jay Slater has made another urgent appeal for help – stating that he “needs an army” to find his son.
Jay, an apprentice bricklayer from Lancashire, vanished more than three weeks ago while on holiday on the Spanish island of Tenerife for a festival with pals, prompting a massive search by Spanish authorities, Jay’s family and friends, volunteers and an army of internet detectives.
But that has not yet proven to be fruitful, with dad Warren now putting another call out for more help as the situation grows more desperate.

He said: “We are still out looking. What more can we possibly do? I’ve said before, I need an army to help me. People don’t understand the vastness of it. I’d love to be able to fly a drone and sit here all day scouring the whole area. Why would you go down there? Why leave the road?”
One of those who has gone out to help is ex-cop Mark Williams-Thomas. Although he initially claimed he would get the family “answers in three days,” he has taken more than two weeks to perform his own investigation.
And, despite not finding Jay, he has given a new update, claiming that “significant” new information has been given to both Spanish and UK police.
He said: “”In the last few days I received a significant new piece of information which I shared with both the British and Spanish police. This provides some clarity as to why he may have left in a hurry and did not want to return to the rental even though his phone was about to go flat.”
Whilst keeping tight-lipped about the nature of the newfound lead, Williams-Thomas had previously highlighted how Jay expressed to friends that he felt unable to return to the place he’d been stationed; alongside two older Brits prior to his unexplained absence. It had also been asserted that Jay, during the journey to the property, posted a social media video bragging about the theft of a £12,000 Rolex watch.
Mr Williams-Thomas added: “We’ve still not found evidence of a third party criminal involvement in Jay’s disappearance, although we have opened up links with a criminal underworld drugs associated crime.”
The former detective, who exposed Jimmy Savile, said it was likely Jay is in a mountainous part of Ibiza. He also confirmed that he had spoken to “all the people” Jay had interacted with leading up to the disappearance.
