Kate Middleton will not be attending a huge charity polo match this weekend, it has been revealed.
The Princess of Wales was due to appear alongside husband, Prince William, who will participate to raise funds for charitable causes. Currently undergoing chemotherapy for cancer, Kate briefly returned to the public eye last month at Trooping the Colour. However, she won’t be among the spectators watching the Prince of Wales compete in the Out-Sourcing Inc Royal Charity Polo Cup 2024 at Guards Polo Club in Windsor Great Park, Kensington Palace has confirmed.
Last year, she was present at the event, awarding her husband with a trophy and greeting him with a kiss. In a statement released last month, Kate disclosed that she was making good progress but was “not out of the woods yet” and had “good days and bad days” as she continued her treatment.

Rumours are circulating that Kate might attend the tennis finals of the Wimbledon Championships this weekend in her role as patron of The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. Meanwhile, William is expected to jet off to Germany to watch England compete against Spain in the Euro 2024 football final on Sunday in Berlin.
This will mark the 13th time William has participated in the polo fixture, which is projected to generate £1 million this year and take the total amount raised over the years to more than £13 million. Eleven charities and organisations, including the Motor Neurone Disease Association, will benefit from the event, reports Wales Online.
William honoured the “legend of rugby league” and MND campaigner Rob Burrow with a heartfelt tribute following his passing from the disease last month. Other causes that will receive support include Wales Air Ambulance, Mountain Rescue England and Wales, SHOUT, Child Bereavement UK, Royal African Society, Place2Be, Action for Children, The Blackthorn Rally, HMS Oardacious Fund, and The Royal Marsden.
