Kylian Mbappe and Zinedine Zidane were reunited at the player’s presentation ceremony – after swapping PSG for Real Madrid.
There was not an empty seat to be had in the Santiago Bernabeu as he addressed his new adoring supporters in perfect Spanish. He told the Real fans that “he was one happy” after completing a move he had always “dreamed” of since he started playing football.
Mbappe was flanked by long-time Los Blancos president Florentino Perez recalled Mbappe’s first meeting with Real Madrid Legend and former manager Zinedine Zidane, he said: “12 years ago, Zizou [Zidane] invited a boy to our training ground.

“He is now the star who will help us to succeed in the future, today we welcome Kylian Mbappe. Welcome to your home and congratulations for achieving your dream. I know this means to you and your family.”
Images of a young Mbappe being shown around the training ground by Zidane, were then beamed onto the big screen for fans to see, of the pair at their training ground, Valdebebas.

The 25-year-old had a disappointing UEFA Euro 2024 scoring just one goal – a penalty against Poland – as France struggled to the semi-final before being outclassed by eventual tournament winners Spain.
Later on Tuesday, Mbappe voiced his admiration for the club in a press conference, he said: “I knew that my destiny was to play for Real Madrid and that one day I would achieve that goal.
“Now I’m so lucky and thank God the dream came true. Now I want to make the most of the experience and enjoy it as much as I can.”
Mbappe will be linking up with an already star-studded line-up that won the Champions League last season with the likes of Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr in their ranks.
