Six people have been injured after a double-decker bus crashed outside a shop on a busy street in north-west London.
The horror crash unfolded earlier today when the bus veered off the road and smashed into scaffolding outside the West 9 Food & Wine store on Harrow Road in Maida Vale.
Emergency services raced to the scene at 2:18pm and medics were able to treat those with injuries, none of which are thought to be serious.
Pictures from the scene show the crumpled front of the number 18 bus surrounded by shards of glass, with its front windscreen and driver’s side window having been smashed.
Other images also show a trail of destruction left in its wake, having smashed through a lamppost and several bollards before stopping.

The Met Police said in a statement: ‘Police were called at 14:18hrs on Tuesday, 16 July to reports of a bus in collision with scaffolding on Harrow Road, W9.
‘Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. At the scene the bus, which was carrying passengers, had collided with scaffolding on a commercial premises.
‘Six people, including the bus driver, were treated by medics at the scene. None of the injuries are thought to be serious.
‘Road closures and safety cordons are in place.
‘There have been no arrests.
‘Anyone who witnessed this incident or has dashcam footage should call police on 101 or post on X @MetCC quoting 4316/16JUL.’
