Ursula von der Leyen was re-elected president of the European Commission yesterday, as an MEP called for her to be jailed.
Ewa Zajaczkowska-Hernik said that the German politician had presided over ‘climate craziness’ and an ‘influx of illegal migrants’.
The Polish MEP, a member of the hard-Right New Hope party, was booed in the European Parliament as she called for Mrs von der Leyen, to be held responsible for rapes and assaults which she claimed had been carried out by illegal migrants inside Europe’s borders.
Addressing Mrs von der Leyen directly, she said: ‘For what you do, you should go to prison.
‘Your presence as head of the EC is the further downfall of the European Union.’
