Police raided several addresses just hours before the Euro 2024 final as part of efforts to put a stop to a suspected terror plot in a major fan zone.
Just hours before England’s players took to the pitch for kick-off against Spanish officers swooped in amid fears of an imminent attack on the Three Lions fan zone in Berlin.
It went down at a major public square at Breitscheidplatz in the city with officers able to put a stop to the suspected ISIS terror cell with the men said to be known IS supporters already and under surveillance by German cops.

In total three suspects were detained by German special forces during co-ordinated raids nearby. Police have since confirmed they searched three addresses, looking for five men.
A Berlin Police spokesperson said: “The homes of three men were searched at three addresses in Potsdam. Forces from the special task forces were involved in the operation.
“The measures were carried out in connection with an immediate threat from the Islamist spectrum.” The suspects have since been released under investigation.
