Villagers living near Britain’s biggest sex festival are bemused by the X-rated goings on with one saying: ‘We find it a bit of a giggle and the mind boggles!’
As the four-day swingathon keeps swinging this weekend, a pensioner said: ‘As long as they keep their activities away from our view we don’t mind and they’re doing us no harm.’
‘Some people may find it quite shocking but most of us think it’s amusing.’
The woman, who was playing cards with a group of pals in the village hall, added: ‘We’re a bunch of old wrinklies having our fun this way.
‘We heard about the event up the road but it’s not our cup of tea!’
The OAP, who has lived in quaint and sleepy Allington on the outskirts of Grantham, Lincolnshire, for 20 years, but declined to be named, told MailOnline: ‘They keep themselves to themselves so they’re not hurting us.

But the locals don’t mind festival-goers at four day swingathon taking place this weekend, as long as they ‘keep themselves to themselves’

Another local said: ‘I’m amused by it, as others are too. It’s about like-minded people enjoying entertainment their way.’
A thousand revellers have flocked to the swingers and fetish festival – billed as the country’s largest – in fields hidden away from prying eyes.
It features play tents, pole dancing, hot tubs, foam parties, mobile dungeons and butt-plug bingo.
Kinky guests, forking out up to £265 a tickets, can browse and buy sex toys, cool each other down with water hoses and frolic around naked or in skimpy underwear.
Marquees are filled with kinky whips and chains, spanking paddles and bondage equipment and a ‘SpicyLounge’ entices revellers to ‘Something to behold… Along with the moon!’
A worker at the venue, held in huge fields with a manned entrance, behind Arena UK, an international championship equestrian show ground, said: ‘Anything and everything goes on there!
‘Guests ages range from 20’s to 60’s with the majority appearing to be 30’s to 40’s and as many females as males.
‘They’re here for a good time with no judgement or criticism and in a world which seems so cruel they just want to to have fun in their own way, and be free.
‘You can’t criticise them for that and everything going on is legal, consensual and hopefully not harming anyone.’
‘People are wondering around completely starkers or semi naked with their bits hanging out but they don’t care.
‘Women are dressed in bikini briefs with their boobs on show.

Bottom Street in Allington, Lincolnshire. Guests to the Swingathon camp out in fields a mile from the village centre
‘I’ve seen no sex on show in the open air but it’s obviously going on left right and centre with couples and groups.’
The worker, who had no idea until the last moment he was booked that he would helping out at a sex festival, said: ‘It’s a job and you can’t be choosy or prudish, and it opens your eyes wide!
‘Some guests seemed quite shy at the start and didn’t quite know what to expect while others got down to business the moment they arrived.
‘The overall feeling was fun and frolicking, and a lot out of bounds!
‘There was a decent crowd, many hundreds, who stayed for the duration and there appeared to be no trouble.
‘So far there has been no drastic drinking and bad behaviour, people here don’t want to get p***d up and flag, they’re here to perform for one and many others!’
As guests were entertained amidst the mixed sunshine and showers, in fields where they camped out a mile from the village centre, organiser Matthew Cole promised it would be ‘bigger, bolder and better’ than before.
Mr Cole, in his mid 30’s and running it at the same venue for the second year, said: ‘We have put a lot of work into the event and a lot of time into it.
‘We have sold more tickets than ever and having the council on side as well, it could not be going any better than I wanted.’
Last year some locals complained about the noise and it being ‘too seedy for such a charming and delightful village.

Bar worker Dawn Wilson said that while the swingathon was an ‘odd event to hold here’, villagers don’t ‘see or hear’ of any of the swingers during the event
Allington is described as a ‘charming village situated on the edge of the beautiful Vale of Belvoir’
John Roberts, a bar tender at the village’s only pub, said: ‘We’re a lovely little place, hidden away, and very friendly.
‘Everyone’s talking about the swingers’ convention but we don’t see or hear any of them and they don’t bring their activity into the village, thankfully.
‘People make jokes about it happening here and they’re back for a second year.’
His colleague Dawn Wilson said: ‘It’s not impacting on us and it’s not as if people are running down the street naked and frolicking around.
‘It’s an odd event to hold here. We normally have top riders qualifying for and competing in showjumping and dressage events at the nearby arena, or people getting married in the big manor house.
‘The activities going on couldn’t be more far removed!’
An Airbnb owner said: ‘They’re not hurting anyone and seem to be quite respectful.’
The woman added: ‘People are gossiping about the event. It is a little bit odd but it’s not illegal and they’re not causing us any problem.
‘It’s a strange place for them to gather, on the edge of village in the middle of nowhere but the location is very accessible being near the A1.’
Her friend and fellow local said: ‘It’s a healthy outlet for consenting adults and as long as they’re not parading down the road, we’re OK with them!’
Allington, described as a ‘charming village situated on the edge of the beautiful Vale of Belvoir,’ has just one pub, primary school, kids’ playground and wedding and function venue Allington Manor but no shops.
The event incorporates another raunchy festival aimed at people with fetishes called FetFest and has ‘bookable private play areas.’

Entertainment includes bands performing, alongside DJs, dancers and comedy acts, drag and burlesque acts as well as sensual massages.
Co-organiser Kerry Voellner said: ‘The event offers a very social and safe space for people from different lifestyles to meet new people.’
Her co-host Matthew had previously run a swinger’s club in the nearby historic town of Grantham which was forced to close last autumn.
His ‘d2s alternative lifestyle’ with playrooms, hot tubs and BDSM dungeon was shut down in a row with the landlord over blackout blinds covering the windows.
He said at the time: ‘It’s very disheartening. I gave a venue that would otherwise be a derelict pub a new lease of life for a community of like-minded people.
‘They told me I had not complied with certain conditions but I have always been open and honest about what we do here.
‘They said I had blacked out windows but I have just put blinds up for privacy purposes. It’s to protect our own clients as well as those on the outside.’
