Harry ‘to scoop million-pound windfall’ – it is greater than William’s inheriting

Prince Harry is on the brink of a massive £7million windfall in just a few weeks.

The late Queen Mother, who was Harry’s great-grandmother, had an estimated fortune of £70million she put into a trust fund for her family.

According to Australian magazine New Idea, citing The Times, the Duke of Sussex is set to receive a share of £7million when he celebrates his 40th birthday on September 15.

This comes on top of his substantial earnings from the Netflix deal that he and Meghan inked in September 2020. Harry and his brother William also received a significant amount from the tax-exempt Duchy of Cornwall.

The latest estimate of Harry and Meghan’s combined net worth is around $60million (roughly £46m), reports the Mirror.

Harry is predicted to get a larger slice of the generous inheritance than his older brother, due to the financial arrangements within the Royal Family.

As the next in line to the throne, William will reap the benefits of the vast wealth of the Duchy of Cornwall, a private estate that funds the public, charitable and private activities of the King’s heir. As such, Harry is likely to get slightly more than half of the £14million allocated for the brothers.

Despite this seemingly impressive sum, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are among the least wealthy in their circle of friends.

George Clooney, who’s being eyed by some Democrats as a potential White House candidate following Joe Biden’s shocking withdrawal from the race, is said to be nearly 10 times wealthier than Harry and Meghan. He and his high-flying lawyer wife Amal are reportedly sitting on a hefty $560million.

Tyler Perry, the filmmaker rumoured to be Princess Lilibet’s godfather, isn’t exactly strapped for cash either. He’s so loaded he could afford to lend the Sussexes a plush pad worth a staggering $15million (£12m) when they first flew off to California.

His reported net worth is a massive $1.4billion.

Oprah Winfrey, who famously interviewed the Sussexes in a 2021 chat, now reportedly presides over a media empire worth billions and has a personal fortune totalling a jaw-dropping $2.8 billion (£2.2 billion).
