Rod Stewart upsets Trump followers for mocking ex-president for ‘turning orange’

Sir Rod Stewart has angered Donald Trump supporters by mocking the orange manbaby for his Tango complexion.

The Do Ya Think I’m Sexy rocker, 79, used a Las Vegas performance to pour scorn on Trump.

He hit out after the 78-year-old presidential hopeful criticised his White House rival Kamala Harris for “all of a sudden” turning “black”.

Rod, who has often been seen with his own glowing tan, stopped a gig at Sin City’s Colosseum to stick up a huge projection behind him on stage with four different pictures of Trump.

It showed how the MAGA loudmouth’s complexion had gone from pasty white to tangerine.

Rod referenced Trump’s Kamala outburst on the huge caption he plastered on top of the image.

It said: “I didn’t know he was orange until a number of years ago, when he happened to turn orange.

“I respect either one, but he obviously doesn’t and now he wants to be known as Orange.

“All of a sudden he made a turn and became an Orange person.

“I think someone should look into that.”

Trump has yet to comment on Rod’s mockery.

But Rod was targeted on social media by Trump disciples over the stunt.

One right-wing news outlet carried a headline claimed it prompted a “mass concert walk-out”.

But the body of the article admitted the singer was only left with “several empty seats” after the message was displayed to a crowd of thousands during his Vegas residency.

Fans of Trump’s told Rod to “shut up” after the orange jibe – with one fuming online: “Way to lose half your fans.”

Other keyboard warriors ordered the crooner to “stay out of politics” and “stick to singing”.

But hordes of Rod’s fans told him his Trump “roast” was “savage” and urged him to keep it up for the rest of the shows.

One added: “Love you, Rod!! Feel free to speak your mind on YOUR page!!”

Another fan said: “I don’t know why you have so many MAGA people on your Instagram, but don’t even listen to them. Your post was funny as hell. He is soon to be orange marmalade toast!!”

Rod’s Sin City gigs are set up to wrap up on Wednesday after a fortnight at the Colosseum.

He broke his silence on the Trump storm by reposting an image of his Trump orange display.

The dad-of-eight’s model daughter Ruby posted alongside the image: “Kamala 2024.”

Trump babbled in July at the National Association of Black Journalists meeting in Chicago about how his Democratic rival and US vice president Kamala, 59, had apparently misled voters about her race.

He falsely claimed the first black woman and Asian American to serve as VP in the US had previously only promoted her Indian heritage.

Trump said he was ignorant of the fact Kamala was black until “all of a sudden, she made a turn and she went… she became a black person”.
