In another major blow to the high street, high end fashion store Ted Baker will close ALL 46 stores for good.
The move leaves the fate of 975 in peril, with closures due to take place throughout this month. It was announced just months after it went into administration which saw 15 stores closed at the time, with administrators unable to find a way to solve the issues within the business since then.
According to Drapers, the store closures will start on Friday and go on until August 21 – or until all stock is sold. It also includes concessions and the website, although fashion investment company PDS bought the Ted Baker Design group in 2023 and will keep its London office open despite making cuts to staff numbers.

In an email sent to store staff last week, the administrators said: “We are sorry to have shared such difficult news. However, we want to emphasise again that this outcome is no reflection of the amazing work and support you have provided these last four months.
“As we approach the end of our current stock sale strategy, it has become increasingly clear that an agreement may not be reached in time. If it isn’t, there will be no immediate transition to a new operator once the administration strategy is complete.”
The Ted Baker website is no longer available for purchases and has a simple message on it which states “Goodbye for now”.
