Woman’s ‘intestine feeling’ pressured her to not board doomed ‘Final Destination’ aircraft

More chilling events leading up to a deadly plane disaster have emerged with many comparing them to the horror movie, Final Destination.

American Airlines Flight 191 plunged to the ground just moments after take-off from O’Hare International Airport in Chicago on May 25 1979, killing all 271 people on board and two on the ground.

In the days before, one man, David Booth had the same harrowing dream 10 nights in a row about a jet blowing up into a “humongous inferno,” and was so worried, he alerted the Federal Aviation Administrator (FAA).

Then passenger, Lindsay Wagner suddenly became overwhelmed by a terrible gut feeling and decided not to board the plane bound for L.A in a move that ended up saving her life.

Another eerie incident saw one flight attendant stuck in traffic leading to another member of staff being called in in her place. Shortly after arriving at the airport’s crew lounge, she saw the plume of smoke as the plane went down.

Speaking in an interview with Celebrity Drop on YouTube last month, actor and The Bionic Woman star, Lindsay Wagner relived the ‘Sliding Door moment’ she experienced that fateful day.

She said: “I’m very into listening to yourself, I think that’s a huge part of our evolutionary growth to honour your intuition. It doesn’t even always have to make sense, that’s the thing.”

She added: “I don’t believe that was my time. When my time comes, there’s not going to be anything I can do about it.”

Last week, the Daily Star reported how David Booth tried to warn aviation experts after having the same recurring nightmare.

He said: “The dream would always start out in the same way. It was a bright sunlit day and I’m looking at a very large airport and a very long runway and there’s a really large plane.

“I can see American Airlines. I see the plane start to taxi on the runway and it gathers up speed. All of a sudden, as it’s going off, there’s a perception in my mind that there’s something wrong with the sound that the engine is making.”

He describes seeing the plane go straight up in the air before it turns and goes straight back to the ground where it “explodes in this humongous inferno.”

He added: “Every day, the dream got worse and worse and worse. Not knowing what to do, not knowing what I was supposed to do. Not being able to forget an image seared, not just into my mind, but into the very fabric of my entire being.”

Then sure enough, just hours later, the McDonnell Douglas DC-10 aircraft was taking off when its left engine detached leading to it crashing less than a mile from the end of the runway.

An investigation blamed improper maintenance procedures used at American Airlines.

YouTube viewers were quick to compare the tragedy to the horror movie, Final Destination where a group of teenagers foresee their own deaths before they happen, including a plane crash.

Some also pointed out other spine-chilling details.

One posted: “When I was 17, my mother was also meant to be on the flight. She was running late and then caught a traffic jam, so she missed it. She was coming to see me in Laguna Beach, where I was finishing up my senior year of high school.

“My father had died in a place crash whe I was five; I would have lost both parents in two separate aviation accidents. To this day if I miss a flight or have to cancel a trip, I see as as fate.”

Another wrote: “The captain was actually off duty and heading home from Ohare that day. A colleague had a family emergency and asked Captain Lux to cover 191 for him, Lux agreed.”

While one said: “My uncle was supposed to be on the flight. Traffic stopped him. A week later he died of a heart attack…. Seeing the movie Final Destination kinda makes me think.”
