A man has died following a medical incident at a graveyard.
Emergency services rushed to Tudhoe Cemetery near Spennymoor in County Durham following reports of concern for a male yesterday afternoon.
However, despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead the scene by medics shortly after 2pm.
An inquest will be held to establish the circumstances surrounding his death.
A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary spokesperson said: ‘Police were called shortly after 2.10pm following reports of a man suffering a medical episode at Tudhoe Cemetery, near Spennymoor.

‘Paramedics also attended, but sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
‘His death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.’
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson added: ‘We were called by Durham Police at 2.11pm to assist with a patient in the cemetery on York Hill Road in Spennymoor.
‘We dispatched two paramedic crews, a clinical team leader and specialist paramedic.’
