Donald Trump touts Sir Nick Faldo for White House job as ex-stripper spouse grins

Donald Trump has dropped a bombshell by hinting at a government role for golf legend Sir Nick Faldo if he makes a comeback as US President.

The ex-POTUS was all praise for the six-time major champ during a rally in Bozeman, Montana, labelling him “a major friend of mine”. Since tying the knot with his fourth wife, Lindsay De Marco, in December 2020, Faldo’s been dipping his toes more into Republican politics.

Lindsay, a former topless dancer turned die-hard MAGA fan at 61, is a hardcore backer of Trump and the GOP, with firm beliefs in American conservative values. She brought Sir Nick, now 67, along to a Trump event in Bozeman, where they’ve settled on a lush 125-acre farm after ditching Florida.

At the rally, Trump gave a shout-out to the dad-of-four and his “beautiful wife” before floating the idea of Faldo joining the US Government ranks. Trump told the crowd: “This guy is a major golfer. He is a major friend of mine. One of the best ever. They knighted him in England or the UK. And he just knew how to win,” reports the Mirror.

“He could take people, he’d play the best players in the world, and they always folded in front of him. In fact, I think I need to bring him into government ’cause we like to get other people to fold. And his nickname is Foldo because he makes everyone but his name is Faldo. Nick Faldo and his beautiful wife, Lindsay. Where is Nick?”

During a spirited rally, Trump gestured towards the retired golfing legend in the crowd and said: “That guy can play golf… he’s won six majors and many, many tournaments, and he’s one of the greatest golfers ever.”

“It’s an honour, as a golfer. You are a piece of work. He’s a tough cookie too. You talk about a tough cookie. That’s a tough cookie.”

Lindsay then dashed over to Trump, all smiles for a photo opportunity with the Republican presidential candidate and her spouse. Mrs Faldo is no stranger to vocalising her admiration for the ex-business tycoon, often showcasing her support on social media platforms.

In the aftermath of a foiled assassination attempt on Trump, last month, Lindsay uploaded a defiant photo of him and captioned it: “This is the only man I want leading our country.”

Before Joe Biden withdrew his candidacy, she was a notable critic of the eventual US president, evidenced by her commentary on an image of Biden speaking on CNBC; she teased the network, jesting: “Can I ask CNBC what happened? Could it be your video facial softening software is in need of a tune up???”

She didn’t stop there, posting a manipulated slow-motion video of Biden at a World War Two remembrance event in France. The former stripper implored: “What on earth? Please put an end to this madness! Every legal vote counts.”

In another snap from a government meeting discussing the special counsel investigation into potential coordination between the Trump campaign and Russian efforts to influence the 2016 election, she suggested lawyer Robert Mueller should be jailed.

Lindsay, who is a convicted drug felon, shared a photo from the hearing, captioning it: “This is better than Christmas morning for a child! Mueller needs to go see what “suite” he might be staying in at the Federal Country Club.”

Lindsay has always been known for her conservative views. Her fifth husband out of seven was multi-millionaire Scott Sangalli. As Mrs Sangalli, the pair, who were close allies of unsuccessful Presidential candidate Mitt Romney, used his wealth to back the Republican party while indulging Lindsey in her passion for politics.

A dozen years ago, after running for office herself, she clinched the title of Mrs Conservative US 2012. Upon winning the title, Lindsay stated: “One side or size doesn’t fit all, and the liberal agenda isn’t for everyone. The pageant sends out the message to women that being a conservative woman or young lady is a choice like any other.

“If it’s their choice, then they should embrace it, and the Conservative US Pageant is the perfect place to showcase conservative women of all ages and to celebrate conservatism in America.”

A source revealed that for Lindsay Faldo, meeting Trump was “the pinnacle” of her social aspirations. “If Lindsay is anything, she is a social climber,” they said. “Meeting Trump, who is like an idol to her, will be the pinnacle. She thought marrying a knight was a high, but after meeting Trump, she is over the moon.”

After the event, Lindsay took to social media to share several photos and TV screen grabs from when the camera caught her view. Former world number one golf champion Sir Nick previously shared how he tied the knot with fellow golf enthusiast Lindsay – affectionately known as ‘Lindz’ by family and friends – in a romantic, intimate ceremony on a Florida Keys beach, attended by just 16 guests.

“There was a great atmosphere, and it was fun,” Sir Nick reminisced about the wedding. “We love being together and feel so connected.”

“We’ve both had experiences and have moved on from them. Although you can’t change the past, you can learn from it. We live in the now. Lindsay and I are really connected.”
