Rap icon Dr. Dre wants to compete in the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028 as a member of Team USA’s archery squad.
The R’nB star, who featured in Sunday night’s closing ceremony, said he is in training to make it as a star in his home town games. NWA founder Dre has been hooked on a bow and arrow for several years and now plans to take it to the next level.
He confirmed: “I am going to try out for the Olympics in 2028 in archery. I am dead ass serious.”

The Compton-born producer has been working on his archery skills for the last few years enjoying it first as a hobby and now pushing himself to compete for the highest honours in the sport.
Dre was centre stage at the handover from Paris to LA on Sunday’s epic Olympics closing ceremony performance with pal Snoop Dogg.
Millions watched Snoop play songs with longtime collaborator and friend Dre at a Long Beach stage.
Dre, 59, said that teaming up with Snoop Dogg, 52, for a performance of their hit “The Next Episode” was a great time.
He said: “It’s magical. I don’t even feel comfortable performing without Snoop.
“Something about the synergy that me and Snoop have is really interesting.
“Really, Snoop, he’s the superstar. I’m the co-star when we get on stage.
“It’s different when we’re in the studio, you know? I’m the captain when we’re in the studio, but when we go outside, Snoop is the guy.”
