Mike Tyson’s son slams ‘out of hand’ Hawk Tuah lady – ‘this nation is f**ked’

Hawk Tuah girl has been slammed by Mike Tyson’s son after getting the lyrics to Jay Z’s ‘Empire State of Mind’ wrong.

Since going viral in June this year for her infamous “hawk tuah – spit on that thang” answer in a street interview, Haliey Welch (aka Hawk Tuah girl) has been a mainstay on social and news feeds.

The 22-year-old has been lauded by some for her lovable – at times ditzy – nature, as a blonde from Nashville, Tennessee. Others have criticised Haliey, angry about how she’s capitalised on her “15-seconds of fame”, something only possible in today’s meme-culture internet landscape.

There’s lots of quality news coming out of the US.

One of these is seemingly boxer Amir Tyson, Mike Tyson’s son.

Haliey’s confusion was a step too far for Amir

The 27-year-old hit out at Hawk Tuah girl after she messed up the lyrics during an interview with comic Bill Maher. A clip circulated on social media of Haliey singing Jay Z’s Empire State of Mind, where she sang “concrete jungle wet dream tomato” in her southern drawl.

The real lyrics are: “Concrete jungle, where dreams are made of.” This amusing mix-up brought laughter and joy to many, but it got Amir incredibly riled up.

Taking to Instagram, he shared the viral clip on his story with a strongly worded message: “Our country is f**ked… This era of 15 minutes of intense fame to complete irrelevancy has gotten completely out of hand.”

Amir added: “Only people from the internet that have… gained actual celebrity status are the Paul brothers and maybe the Speed, Kai Cenat, and Adin Ross… My kids and grandkids won’t have a clue who these streamers are lol.”

Elsewhere in Haliey and Bill’s chat, the irreverent comic, 68, made some inappropriate suggestions about the Hawk Tuah girl’s career trajectory.

“You need to do a podcast. You do it right here on Club Random if you do it my way,” said Maher. “Sex expert.” Welch laughed nervously throughout the exchange and visibly went red at Maher’s suggestions.
