Anas Sarwar has revealed his son Aliyan pits the British Prime Minster against other political figures in the wrestling ring for fun.
The Scottish Labour leader, who revealed that he is “obsessed” with the sport, recalled how he recently returned home to find his young son bellowing out the PM’s name as he was playing a computer game.
Apparently the eight-year-old sees good vs bad the same as left-wing vs right-wing, as he was in the middle of a wrestling mach between Keir Starmer and Joe Biden against the tubby north Korean despot Kim Jong-un, Donald Trump and former PM Rishi Sunak.

Speaking as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe’s Politcal Party with Matt Forde event, Sarwar recalled he heard his son on the PlayStation “going ‘Sir Keir Sarmer.’”
He continued: “I thought what is he doing?” He was playing his wrestling game and he has downloaded Keir Starmer as a wrestler.
“I was watching him, he was doing a wrestling match, Keir Starmer and Joe Biden versus Donald Trump, Kim Jong Un and Rishi Sunak.”
The Scotsman said he hadn’t yet told Sir Keir that his son has repurposed him as a wrester, adding: “I can’t wait to tell him that story.”
It appears Starmer is better in a spar in Parliament than in the ring, as Sarwar admitted the Prime Minster’s scores could be better and that they “weren’t as high as we would perhaps like them to be in terms of fights”. He added however, that “we are working on that”.
Sarwar added that Aliyan has threatened he would turn his dad into a character and make it available for public download.
He added: “I am obsessed with wrestling, it is very entertaining. I used to live wrestling, so I am reliving that youth again with any eight-year-old.”
