Foodies have been queuing up for hours in order to get their hands on a lifetime supply of cookies.
However, after showing off their unwavering dedication by standing outside Manchester-based Insomnia Cookies for some time, it was only then the true test of commitment was had.
Visitors of the store could be guaranteed free late-night cookies for life in return for going under the needle and getting a tattoo by a local artist from the coveted studio Rain City. The US cult bakery inked up fans in their Fallowfield store.

The exclusive in-store ‘Till Death Dough Us Part’ studio marks the launch of the insomnia Loyalty rewards app, set up to celebrate loyal fans and their love of the drool-worthy goodness, with the best deals and easy ways to reap the rewards faster than ever.
And for those not wanting to go under the needle, the company gave away six specifically designed temporary tattoos for those wanting to show their commitment, in return for a free classic four-pack whilst the artwork lasts.
The brand was founded by US entrepreneurs Seth Berkowitz and Jared Barnett while they were students at the University of Pennsylvania. Opening its first retail store in upstate New York, it now has outlets all over the US, and was acquired by Krispy Kreme in 2018. As well as cookies, it sells cookie-based shakes, ice cream, brownies and ice cream sandwiches across in three stores in Manchester.
The launch of the app sees members receive a new bonus where they can secure one Delux cookie after their first purchase. With being among the first to join the programme, they can also score 10 points for every £1 spent with classic cooking awaiting you at 250 points.
The app can be downloaded on Apple or Andriod store and simply scan your unique barcode at purchase to start earning.
