A British tourist has tragically died after falling from the sixth floor of a hotel in Ibiza. The 19-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene following what appears to be an accidental fall.
The incident occurred around 3am at the four-star, adults-only Hotel Vibra District in the party hotspot of San Antonio. Despite the quick response of paramedics, they were unable to save the young holidaymaker due to the severity of her injuries.
An investigation by the Civil Guard is ongoing and an autopsy is yet to be conducted. A spokesperson for the force confirmed: “I can confirm a 19-year-old British tourist has died following a fall at a hotel in San Antonio in Ibiza.”
A police source added: “Everything is pointing to this being a tragic accidental fall.”
In a separate incident on Saturday morning, a 28-year-old British man died after falling 15ft at a hotel in Palmanova near Magaluf in Majorca following a night out. His partner was later treated for a panic attack.
The incident took place at the four-star Reverence Mare Hotel in Palmanova. It’s believed that the man fell to his death several hours before the alarm was raised around 7am.
Investigators suspect he may have been trying to enter the wrong hotel after losing his way while attempting a shortcut after a night of partying.
