TV Host Jermaine Jenas was ‘cocky’ and ‘confident’ during his recent appearance on the Talk Sport show after it was revealed that he had been sacked from the BBC over allegedly sending unsolicited texts to a female member of staff on the One Show, a body language expert has revealed.
Breaking his silence over the claims, a spokesperson for Jenas said: ‘Right now I can’t talk about it.
‘I can tell you I’m not happy – there are two sides to every story – and I’m going to be speaking with my lawyers on the issue.’
According to the BBC, the ex-Premier League footballer’s ‘contract was terminated earlier this week, because of alleged issues relating to workplace behaviour’.
The corporation added: ‘It followed allegations involving digital communications such as texts, which were raised with the corporation a few weeks ago.’

Sources at the BBC say Jenas will no longer host its evening show with immediate effect. He also appears to have been removed from agency MC Saatchi’s website.
One told the Mail: ‘It all came as a massive shock but his colleagues have now been told the news and he won’t be back. His colleagues are stunned, they didn’t see it coming at all. They were kept in the dark to start with. They couldn’t believe it when they found out.’

Analysing Jenas’ body language on today’s show, body language expoert Judi James says that ‘Jenas looks fully within his comfort zone here: cocky, confident: his gestures, poses and facial expressions all signal a man enjoying himself as he gets his views and points across with emphasis and signals of authority.’

‘He splays his body out several times, reaching a right arm out as he speaks to his co-presenter and placing his left hand on his hip suggesting an alpha confidence here’ adds body language expert Judi James

‘He rubs his chin in a gesture of intelligent evaluation and he scratches his neck in an act of distraction.
‘That chin is frequently raised in what looks like a gesture of defiance while his right hand performs some emphatic gesticulation to add weight to his words.
‘Jermaine grins and laughs in a full-body chuckle, with his shoulders shaking as he laughs. He also looks round the studio as thought to share the laugh with people sitting near him.
‘At one point as he speaks he raises an index finger pointing upward in a gesture of authority then brings the other finger up to double-up on that idea of being in control.’
‘‘I’m enjoying this mate’ is his comment to his co-presenter at one stage towards the end of their show and his body language supports that claim’, James notes.
