Weather maps present 32C French warmth bomb set to roast Britain for 72 hours

Brits can expect a blast of late summer heat with weather maps indicating temperatures will shortly rocket skywards.

WXCharts maps show the blast of warm weather heating up the Iberian Peninsula and France will make its way over to the UK through the tail end of August and the start of September.

From September 1, Londoners can get ready to lap up the sun at scorching highs of 28C. Elsewhere, Brits can enjoy temperatures well into the 20s, with one weatherman predicting temperatures will reach 30C.

Weather wizard from Exacta Weather, James Madden, dropped hot hints of an ‘Indian summer’, saying a pressure cooker high could fire up temps to a whopping mid-30s in weeks ahead, reports the Express.

Madden’s forecast states: “From in and around next Sunday (August 25) or earlier, we will see Britain and Ireland returning to some prolonged summery weather from significant high pressure rises and a pattern change to a much warmer to hot airflow across our shores.

“Temperatures are set to climb into the mid to high 20s initially, and there’s no reason we couldn’t see further extreme temperatures in at least the low to mid-30s during these developments.”

However, there’s no need to reach for the sunscreen just yet, as the weather is expected to hover around the August average, with no significant changes expected before next week.

Unpredictable weather will continue, with showers and heavy rain set to drench many parts of the country.

Those in western Scotland should get their brollies at the ready as forecasters warn of disruptive downpours slated for the next couple of days.

Met Office’s Jason Kelly has warned: “A band of rain will move in from the west on Wednesday morning and will become slow moving with heavy bursts of rain at times, especially over high ground in Scotland.”

He added that this soggy situation is sticking around until Thursday, saying: “This rain will persist into Thursday for many within the warning area, with 75-100mm likely quite widely, with higher accumulations possible over the higher ground.”

Not just a deluge but a gusty one too, as Kelly reports: “Gusty winds will accompany the rain, with 50-60mph possible near Irish Sea coasts and the west of Scotland.”

He warns of a potentially lethal combo of wild winds and spring tides, cautioning: “Coupled with spring tides, this could lead to some dangerous coastal conditions before winds gradually ease later on Thursday.”
