Fans were left stunned after incredible footage of a 16-year-old sprinter from Australia winning a 100m race went viral online.
Gout Gout, a 2007-born athlete from Brisbane, has been dubbed as the ‘next Usain Bolt‘ after his impressive 100m run in 10.2 seconds at this year’s Queensland Athletics Championships.
After running alongside other competitors for 40 meters, Gout Gout confidently pulled and finished well ahead of his opponents.
Previously, at just 15-year-old, the teenager set a new Australian record for his age group by completing the Under 18s 200m race in only 20.87 seconds, which was 0.03 seconds faster than the previous record held by Paul Greene, Zane Branco and Darren Clark.
Additionally, he has broken his previous personal record of 10.43 seconds in the 100m race.

In a previous interview with Athletics Australia, Gout said: ‘I like athletics because it is personal. I like that it is individual and the results come down to me.’
The talented young athlete was born in Australia in 2007, two years after his parents migrated from South Sudan in 2005, and is one of seven children in his family.
His running career began when he joined Ipswich Grammar School in Year 7, where he quickly impressed his coach, Diane Sheppard.
‘Gout came to Ipswich Grammar as a full fee-paying student and they were pushing a rugby kid at me, but I saw him run around and he got right up on his toes. He is a great kid from a great family,’ Sheppard said.
Fans were also left amazed by the video of his incredible sprint, comparing him to the legendary Usain Bolt due to his exceptional speed.

Other fans think Gout is capable of breaking Bolt’s 100m record of 9.58 seconds in the near future.

Former Olympic track and field athlete Jane Flemming, president of Athletics Australia, has already praised Gout’s performance and believes his potential is enormous.
‘There’s a 16-year-old sprinter up in Queensland called Gout Gout, who if I’ve ever seen anybody run like Usain Bolt and [be] built like him, he is it,’ said the Australia star for 2GB’s Wide World of Sports Radio on Monday.
