A top Premier League footballer was dumped by his wife after she sensationally saw him take a mystery woman into the family home on their Ring doorbell camera, MailOnline can reveal.
The international footballer, a household name, was kicked out of the family home after his wife was sent a photo on Instagram of him in the marital bed – along with the message: ‘I slept with your husband.’
The furious wife was on holiday at the time with the couple’s young children then checked the family Ring app – and found footage of her husband returning home with the female companion.
A source said: ‘The wife was totally shocked and heartbroken because nothing can prepare you for something like this.’
Her famous husband had assured her that the photo she received was a fake, but she didn’t completely believe him.

The source added: ‘When she saw the doorbell video camera footage she knew there and then what the truth was.
‘There’s no going back from that and it meant the end of the marriage.’
The footballer, who MailOnline is not naming, was recently part of the squad for his country at the Euros with some of his teammates even joking about how the end of his marriage came about.
The source added: ‘All the players knew about it and so did a lot of their families because everyone was talking about it in Germany. Some of the players nicknamed him “Ringo” and were calling him that behind his back.
‘But it’s no joke because this whole thing has caused a lot of heartache and the breakup of a family.’

It showed two people whose faces are not visible in her marital bed with a photograph of the footballer lovingly hugging his wife and their children on the wall in the background.

The raging WAG phone her husband to grill him about the image but he vehemently protested his innocence, saying that it was not him and that it had been doctored.
She initially believed him but with doubts still niggling away, the suspicious WAG decided to turn detective when she returned to their million-pound mansion and checked the doorbell camera only to be confronted with the devastating video of him entering the property with the woman.
She also saw that the woman accompanying her husband was the same as the one who had sent her the photograph on Instagram.
The source added: ‘They were very happily married for a number of years. She’s a high-profile WAG and he’s one of the most recognisable faces in the Premier League. It’s quite shocking how the end of their marriage came about.’
The intrepid WAG’s detective work is reminiscent of the famous ‘Wagatha Christie’ scandal involving Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy.
Coleen, wife of former England captain Wayne Rooney accused her fellow WAG of leaking stories about her to the press and claimed that she discovered this after carrying out her own investigation on social media.
Rebekah denied the accusation and sued Coleen for libel in a high-profile court case in July 2022 which she dramatically lost.
