Captain of Bayesian superyacht the place 7 died investigated for ‘manslaughter’

The skipper of the Bayesian yacht, where seven individuals tragically lost their lives after it capsized last week, is under investigation for manslaughter, according to Italian press.

Captain James Cutfield has already been grilled by officials following the sinking of the superyacht off the coast of Palermo, Sicily, in the wee hours of Monday last week. The horrific incident claimed the lives of seven people, including British billionaire Mike Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter Hannah.

Recaldo Thomas, Morgan Stanley International chairman Jonathan Bloomer and his wife Judith and Clifford Chance lawyer Christopher Morvillo and his wife Neda were also killed when the yacht went down.

The yacht it is believed was hit by highly-localised and extreme weather incident.
