Scott McTominay’s Manchester United career is all but over.
The Scotland international is set to sign for Antonio Conte’s Napoli in a deal that would see United net £25million by selling the 27-year-old.
The United academy graduate had just one year left on his deal, and with the transfer window set to shut at the end of this week, they were keen to sell up while McTominay still held value.

She also made the trip across to Germany earlier this summer to watch Scotland in action at the European Championships. It is thought the pair began dating back in 2022 when the two were first snapped together.

And while United boss Erik ten Hag might be happy now with Ugarte coming in as McTominay’s replacement, his previous comments about the prospective Napoli midfielder indicate he may still be slightly frustrated to lose the 27-year-old.
“When you score 10 goals in a season and also perform very good for Scotland, then there will be an interest,” ten Hag said at the beginning of the summer transfer window. “But we want to keep him because he is a very important player for our squad.”
“What he can contribute, as we saw last season once we had our sixes available, he could play in a more advanced role and he is a highly interesting player for our team.”
