Wonder how much dough you’d need to live your dream life? Find out by taking this fun quiz, whether it’s a lottery win, an inheritance, or a boost in salary that could springboard you into the lifestyle you crave.
Do you yearn for luxe living, with lavish touches like caviar beside an infinity pool, or would being free from a mortgage in your current pad satisfy you?
Intrigue sparked following a study of 2,000 Brits that disclosed what they’d splurge on without financial limits, ranging from the priciest olive oil at the store to branded condiments and abodes adorned with fresh blooms.
Nearly a third would hush up their newfound wealth but wouldn’t shy away from enhancing their way of life.
The study also found about 23% would shift their grocery runs to posher stores such as Waitrose or M&S once richer. A good 17% fancy keeping their hair game on point with weekly salon visits.
And when it’s time to jet off, one in three would only splurge as far as premium economy seats rather than flying private.
A representative from Lottoland, responsible for the survey, commented: “It might be hard to hide if you suddenly turn up to work in a Ferrari.”
They added humorously, citing social media trends: “But anyone who’s been on social media will have seen the funny posts about how ‘there will be signs’ if they came into a fortune.”
“One thing’s for certain, we know those lucky enough to come into money will be buying out the shelves in M&S.”
Brits have revealed the ways they’d splash their cash, with 16% admitting they’d upgrade to premium subscriptions on streaming services like Spotify and YouTube.
Meanwhile, 11% would ensure their car gets a proper service every year, rather than just an MOT. A whopping 44%of Brits wouldn’t spill the beans to their workmates if they hit the jackpot.
Yet, 62% say they’d feel compelled to admit to a windfall, though they’d keep the exact figures under wraps. And a cheeky 23% confess that, should they strike it rich, they’d find it hard to resist zooming off in a flashy supercar.
And there’s 20% who reckon they’d cave within a week if they came into mega money.

But despite the potential for a life of leisure, nearly four in 10 (37%) would still clock in at work if they landed a fortune and managed to keep it hush-hush, with 14% sticking to their full-time gigs.
When it comes to giving back, 62% of kind-hearted souls would donate to charity without seeking any glory, as per OnePoll’s stats.
Lottoland’s spokesperson chimed in: “Deciding to keep a low profile after a big financial boost is often a strategic move to safeguard one’s privacy.”
“By staying quiet, people can make decisions without the influence of external opinions. Enjoying subtle upgrades, like a new but not too flashy car, or home improvements, adds to the thrill without attracting too much attention.”
