UK to get pleasure from ‘heat climate interlude’ earlier than precise date fog and rain ends summer time

The UK’s summer is set to come to an abrupt halt and soon, according to a dramatic weather map. But first, we’re in for another scorcher.

Temperatures are predicted to plummet by 8C in next week with forecasters from Venutsky pinpointing Tuesday, September 3, as the day an ominous yellow hue covering most of the country.

The nation will be enveloped in dense fog at various points next week, with the thickest anticipated across mid Wales, where temperatures are forecasted to fall to around 15C. This is a significant drop from Monday’s high of 23C, recorded in Writtle, Essex.

Rain is also on the cards, particularly across mid and south Wales, and Southwest England, throughout Tuesday, reports the Mirror.

“Weak frontal systems could still provide some cloud and patchy outbreaks of rain at times, this most likely in northwestern areas, and there is a chance of some heavy thundery showers and more humid conditions in the south too,” reads the Met Office’s website regarding the period from Sunday, September 1 to Tuesday, September 10.

It continues: “The mostly settled conditions are expected to then win out, with high pressure building in from the southwest once more, with the chance of seeing a more widely showery spell towards the end of this period considered low.”

Until then, however, it’s looking good today (Wednesday), for some says Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist, Nick Silkstone.

He forecasts “There is a warmer interlude of weather on the way for those in the south and east of the UK from the middle of the week. Temperatures on Wednesday could peak at 29C in the southeast, with some good spells of sunshine for much of England and Wales.

“While this initial warmth will be relatively short-lived, with a return towards average temperatures by Thursday, the weather will continue with a drier and more settled theme during the second half of the week under the influence of high pressure. The main exception to this will likely be the ongoing chance of some cloud and rain arriving across the northwest later in the week, though even here there should be some drier and brighter interludes.”
