Three golf equipment that would hand Raheem Sterling a lifeline if Man Utd deal collapses

With the transfer window set to shut on Friday afternoon, no one knows just where Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling will play his football this season.

The 29-year-old, alongside a host of fellow Chelsea stars, have been cast aside at Stamford Bridge with Enzo Maresca confirming the England international has no place in his squad for him. Sterling has three-years left on his deal he signed back in 2022 after joining Chelsea, making a permanent sale unlikely.

Loan moves have been mooted, as well as a swap deal with Manchester United that would see Sterling and Jadon Sancho swap places. But, that potential swap deal is said to be on the back burner, with Juventus keen to bring Sancho to Turin having just sold Federico Chiesa to Liverpool.

And in the event Sancho does move to Juventus, it would scupper Sterling’s chances of moving away from Chelsea this summer. That leaves relatively little in the way of options for the England international.

A team that are reportedly interested in landing Sterling is Crystal Palace. Sky Sports report the Eagles are one of a number of clubs to have explored a deal that would see them sign Sterling. However, his wages, which are north of £300,000, will prove a steep price for any team to stump up.

Should Palace fail in their efforts to sign the Chelsea winger, then the next two Premier League favourites according to the bookies are Arsenal and Newcastle United. Aston Villa were reportedly interested at one point, only for that interest to cool at the beginning of the week.

And it could also be possible for Sterling to end up at Juventus too – if their chase of Jadon Sancho falls through. Juventus showed an interest in Sterling earlier this month and with Chiesa’s sale, could do with another winger.

However, it is also believed Sterling would prefer to stay in the Premier League.
