Jadon Sancho looks set to stay at Manchester United.
With the transfer window set to slam shut at 11pm on Friday night, Sancho has been linked with a move to Chelsea. It had been mooted earlier in the week that Chelsea and Man United could swap Sancho and Raheem Sterling, although the latter are less interested in bringing the Blues winger to Old Trafford.
However, in another twist, it now looks as though Sancho could stay at Old Trafford this season. Speaking in his Friday press conference ahead of United’s clash against Liverpool on Sunday, Ten Hag was asked whether or not Sancho could remain at Old Trafford this term.

“As I know, yes,” replied Ten Hag when asked about if Sancho was set to stay at Old Trafford. “He’s playing in our squad and we’re happy with him, we need depth in the squad, we need options.”
Earlier on Friday, Sky Sports reported Chelsea were edging closer to bringing Sancho to Stamford Bridge, but that they were also keen on moving players out the door too. United meanwhile are concentrating on signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte, who looks set to move to Old Trafford this summer.

And if Sancho does stay at Old Trafford this season, it will be quite a turnaround for a player many thought had played his last game for the club after he and Ten Hag sensationally fell out with last term. The Dutchman called out Sancho’s efforts in training which led to the winger firing back at Ten Hag on social media.
Sancho was then exiled from the United first team and ended up returning to Borussia Dortmund on-loan, helping the German side reach the Champions League final at Wembley last season. He returned to Old Trafford this summer, with the expectation that his United career was over.
But with United set to play in the Europa League this season, Sancho now looks set to stay at Old Trafford.
