Marchioness of Bath is called as new face of Victoria’s Secret

The Marchioness of Bath, who appeared on Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Master Chef, has been named the new face of Victoria’s Secret.

Emma Thynn, the wife of Ceawlin Thynn, 8th Marquess of Bath, starred in a video campaign for the brands new fragrance which she posted to her Instagram account.

It was filmed at Longleat House in Wiltshire, where she lives with her husband and two children, and shows her wearing a pair of golden wings – a signature accessory of the brands models, known as ‘angels’.

The 38-year-old socialite is seen floating down the grand steps of the estate, posing next to a water fountain in a pink fluffy coat and walking down an indoor staircase in a red silk robe. Notably, the brand did not put her in any of its more skimpy attire.

In the caption, she wrote: ‘Literally a dream come true!!!’, and thanked Victoria’s Secret and the team who put the video together.

In a press release about its new ambassador, Victoria’s Secret said: ‘A mother of two and a gifted baker and cook, Emma seamlessly balances her duties as chef, conversationalist, model, and caretaker for Longleat – her 128-room historical home and the enchanted location of our latest campaigns, Victoria’s Secret Dream and Daring.’

It appears to be another step for Mrs Thynn in redefining the role of a modern chatelaine after she became the first black Marchioness in British history in 2020.

She has combined running Longleat with glamorous appearances at fashion shows, gracing the cover of magazines such as Hello!, taking part in the latest season of Celebrity Masterchef and competing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2019.

Her Instagram feed features a mixture of videos and pictures of her donning ballgowns and jewels as well of snaps from the Longleat Safari Park attached to her and her husband’s estate.

In 2013, Mrs Thynn married her husband, then-Viscount Weymouth, but had issues with her late mother-in-law, Anna Thynn, who reportedly made offensive remarks about her before their wedding.

Despite the alleged feud, she became the Marchioness of Bath after his father, the seventh Marquess of Bath, died in 2020.
