Gordon Ramsay was told to ‘stick to fish and chips’ after a video of a ‘something from Wetherspoons‘ pizza was served up at one of his restaurants.
The 57-year-old dad-of-six is infamously known for his foul-mouthed outbursts, sarcastic comments and stinging criticism.
However, it seems like the celebrity chef is now getting a taste of his own medicine as fans flocked to an Instagram post to dismiss his latest dish as ‘Wetherspoons’ like – whatever that might mean…

Ramsay is dishing up unlimited pizza at seven of his UK restaurants. As part of a £20 bottomless deal at the chain venues, you can get pepperoni pizza, or for an extra fee of £24, you can add an hour-and-a-half of ‘bottomless Prosecco’ as reported by the Mail.
A video of one of the pizzas being made was posted to the Instagram’s restaurant account, with fans being quick to share their thoughts.
One user commented: “Looks like a Wetherspoons pizza”, whereas another said: “Please stick to fish and chips. From Italy.”
A third comment read: “Little stingy on the cheese mate”, with another adding: “From an Italian point of view….those salami are very low quality and the pizza sauce is not great either’.”
Not all was bad though, as some fans said it “looked so delicious” after it was fully made. One person said: “I can’t wait to taste it. Looks great”.
The backlash comes after Ramsay’s flagship restaurant, a three Michelin-starred venue in Chelsea, reminded diners with a booking to show up dressed appropriately for their meal.
The advice asks guests to ‘avoid shorts, tracksuits and hoodies’ – although it is not known if customers would be turned away if they chose to wear any of the items mentioned.
