Plane ‘falls out of sky’ and collides into built-up neighbourhood

A plane has reportedly crashed into a built-up neighbourhood and quickly set ablaze a moment later.

It is believed it crashed directly into a house in Fairview, Oregon, as reported by The Mirror.

Eyewitness reports shared on X, formally Twitter, claim the residential area caught fire after the plane crashed. One social media user shared a “wild” video of the building on fire which shows orange flames raging and grey smoke filling the air.

Other X users have shared photos of the crash with one person claiming that “lots of customers are now without power”.

Firefighters are now believed to be attending the scene. Fairview doesn’t have its own fire and emergency services, so the neighbouring town of Gresham’s fire department provides help.

The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the fire is currently being investigated. Along with Gresham’s Fire Department, Portland Fire, Portland Airport Fire and the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office are also at the scene.
