New West Ham man Soler took to social media to pay tribute to Marchena on her birthday, writing: “My favourite person, with whom I share all my days.
“The one who listens to me and helps me, the one who is always there for everything, the woman with the most beautiful smile that exists, turns 30 today. Thank you for being you. Life is more beautiful by your side. The best is coming together.”
Fans on X were quick to express their admiration for their new signing’s partner, with one stating: “What a signing! Soler isn’t bad either,” while another said: “His other half is absolutely outstanding.” One fan simply wrote: “Punching.”
West Ham were one of the Premier League’s busiest clubs during the summer window, welcoming notable recruits Crysencio Summerville, Max Kilman, and Germany star Niclas Fullkrug. Soler will hope to add to an already impressive midfield.
“I think that Carlos Soler is a good player, and he is going to help us, for sure,” new West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui stated when asked about his newest summer recruit.
“He is maybe at his best age, as he’s 27, he has international experience and is a very good player. He has a good profile for us as he can play in different positions, and I think he is going to help us to be better.”
The midfielder himself is ready to go to east London, stating: “I am really excited to be here as a West Ham player. It has always been a dream of mine to play in the Premier League, and to be doing it in London with a club like West Ham is an incredible feeling.
“I can’t wait to feel the support of the fans, who I have already heard so much about from conversations with people who know the club, like my good friend Pablo Fornals. I am excited about meeting my new team-mates and giving my all for this Club in the best league in the world.”
