Man arrested on suspicion of homicide after pesnio ‘stabbed to demise’

A man in his 20s has been arrested after a pensioner was found ‘stabbed’ to death at a home in Southborough. 

Police were called to a ‘disturbance’ at a house on Bright Ridge, near Tunbridge Wells, shortly before 11pm on Saturday.

Emergency services attended to a woman in her 80s who was pronounced dead at the scene in Kent. 

The man was also found with injuries consistent with stab wounds and taken to a local hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

He has been arrested on suspicion of murder, as enquiries to determine the full circumstances continue.

The pair were known to each other and police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Officers remain at the scene as part of the investigation.
