‘I’m a registered nurse and spicy star – here is how I save lives in each fields’

In the face of the cost of living crisis a multi-talented woman has found a way to create three separate income streams for different purposes.

Hayli Hooper has taken up three jobs to help her cover her living expenses, tax payments and investments. And what’s more she has done a rather good job of it.

The 38 year-old is a registered nurse by day, a stripper by night, and an saucy content creator in her spare time. And Hayli’s diverse income streams have allowed her to purchase two homes with a third on the way, support her family, and enjoy luxury travel for three months every year.

However, like many others in the adult industry, Hayli has faced significant stigma and criticism for monetising her sexuality.

She said: “It’s so ironic. People always look down on it and think that we’re not thinking of our futures. They just couldn’t be more wrong. Working in the entertainment industry has enabled me to live a high-end lifestyle, getting further ahead in life than most people my age, while still helping others in a practical way.”

Hayli works as a casual pool nurse, meaning she is on call for last-minute shifts, often in facilities that need staff the most, doing the type of nursing that is the least desirable, and therefore pays more.

She can accept or refuse them, and will typically work 20-40 hours a week in nursing, depending on the demand. “I spend anywhere from two to four nights a week stripping, and this money goes directly into my savings and investment fund,” she said.

She said the remainder of her time is spent keeping her fans and subscribers engaged and up to date. The income from which is reserved exclusively for paying tax.

Hayli’s nursing career can bring in approximately £50,000 annually to cover her daily expenses. Stripping could potentially add another £114,000 to her annual income, while her content creation could contribute an additional £76,000.

Before setting her sights on a nursing career, Hayli held various jobs: “I started doing bikini promo at 17-years-old on the Gold Coast. Everything was topless, so I got comfortable being naked pretty quickly. I worked for Queensland Government, Commonwealth Bank. Always while doing content on the side.”

She said when COVID hit, she started studying nursing. “I studied two qualifications back to back for five years, and when you’re studying nursing you have to do full time hours of unpaid placements for three months of the year, every year of study,” she revealed.

“Stripping and OnlyFans got me through that period, which was especially helpful as I had a mortgage to pay.”

However, her academic journey wasn’t without its challenges: “During my studies, I secured a scholarship to do an overseas placement doing charity work and nursing in poverty stricken areas – which cost me a few grand in out of pocket expenses, plus two weeks off work unpaid.

“I was happy to do it because I was grateful to help people truly in need. Then, right before we were due to leave, they found out about my OnlyFans and tried to kicked me off the program. This would’ve stopped me from helping people in need. Why? Because I take my clothes off on camera in my private time?”

Hayli didn’t back down easily. “I reminded them that dismissing a capable nurse from an unpaid placement for their work outside of hours was discriminatory,” she added. “I mean nurses in general are so underpaid, and healthcare so understaffed worldwide, who are you hurting? You are hurting the patients needing care, not me.

“In the end, they let me stay but made me put my social media accounts on private, and I wasn’t allowed to talk about, or be associated with the University in any way.”

Hayli takes pride in her work and her strong work ethic, regardless of what detractors might say.

“I grew up pretty poor, when my family moved to Australia from South Africa, they came with nothing. We had to live on pancakes and rice for the majority of my childhood because it was cheap. I grew up only wearing clothes from Saint Vinnie’s. So now that I make good money I really like to take care of myself and my family.

“I bought a property for my mum to live in 10 years ago, which is a good investment for me and gave her peace of mind. I’ve taken my mother, father and step father on an all expenses 5 star holiday to Santorini in Greece recently,” Hayli shared.

“My goal is to set myself up financially and build up my property and business portfolio, so if that means working my ass off for a few more years, so be it.”
