A cleanliness-savvy pub has given bloke’s a helping hand in a bid to avoid any unwanted spillage in the gents.
The boozer, in Leek, Staffordshire, has installed a cushion (made from a barstool) at head height above one of its urinals, should any staggering bloke need to rest his noggin while he uses the facilities. For those uneasy on their feet after a few pints, rest assured as there is also handle to grip on to.
A snap of the handiwork was shared to Reddit, where a local penned: “Drunkard headrest and grab handle spotted Leek pub toilets. Don’t ask where the rest of the stool is.”

“That head cushion looks like it might give me a skin condition,” one person commented in disgust. “I can smell it through the picture.” After divulging that the pub in question is The Roebuck, scores more appeared to be put off by the thought as well.
A second added: “It’s the fact that there is a wear mark where blokes have actually put their head that has appalled me. And that I’d drink there.” Whilst a third pondered: “It’s unsettling to look at sober, but if I was s**tfaced I’d probably be thankful for it.
“Saying that, if I was drunk enough to actually use it, it’s probably time to go home and drink ten pints of water, and pray the gods of hangovers show me mercy.”
Others saw the funny side, however, as one Redditor wrote: “Oh my god. This is hilarious, disgusting, and also somehow genius at the same time.” And a second quipped: “For when you want to perform the Pythagoras P**s – the trigonometral urination performed such that one’s forehead is propped against the lavatory wall and ones rigid body consequently forms a right angled triangle.”
Elsewhere, someone well-versed in toilet etiquette explained: “In certain German establishments, there is a so-called Speibecken or Kotzbecken – a type of sink intended exclusively for vomiting.
“The name literally means Puke-sink. It tends to have a rather large diameter drain, sturdy handles on either side and a showerhead for post-puke rinsing.”
