New autopsies have revealed the tragic way four passengers on the Bayesian Superyacht died.
Four of the victims were actually alive after the initial sinking. However, an air bubble inside the wreck caused them to suffocate.
Captain James Cutfield was questioned by officials following the sinking of the superyacht off the coast of Palermo, Sicily, in the early hours two weeks ago. The tragedy claimed the lives of seven people, including British billionaire Mike Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter Hannah.

Recaldo Thomas, Morgan Stanley International chairman Jonathan Bloomer and his wife Judith and Clifford Chance lawyer Christopher Morvillo and his wife Neda were among the named deceased.
Now, autopsies were carried out on Jonathan Bloomer, his wife Judy, Chris Morvillo and his wife Neda. Just four of the seven people who passed away revealed the shocking truth that they were in fact alive following the sinking.
The autopsies of Mike Lynch and his daughter Hannah, as well as yacht chef Recaldo Thomas, are due to take place today. Italian newspaper La Repubblica released the results.
The post-mortem said that both couples died after oxygen ran out in an air bubble below deck. They were thought to be stuck there.
Initial reports suggested Chris and Neda both died by drowning. Five of the six missing passengers were found in a Bain located on the left side of the yacht. The vessel settled on its right side on the sea floor.
An investigation is currently undergoing regarding to the sinking, which took place during a huge storm. Of the 22 onboard, 15 survived, and police are looking into manslaughter charges.
Tributes have been pouring in for Mike’s daughter Hannah. At 18-years-old, she had recently finished her A-levels and was due to start studying English at Oxford University in October.
Sasha Murray, chief stewardess of the Bayesian, said: “What most people may not have seen was the extraordinarily strong, deep and loving relationship she shared with her parents, whom she adored more than anything. While swimming with them she often said, if anything ever happened she would save them.
“I have no doubt that the Irish, Latina fire that burns in her soul kept that spirited determination alive.”
