Chilling video taken by ‘9/11 suspect’ could not have been handed to US officers

A chilling video seized by authorities from an early 9/11 suspect “raises questions”, a survivor of the attacks has claimed.

The never-before-released clip was taken by the suspect – a mature Saudi student Omar al-Bayoumi – as he wandered around US government buildings two years before the terrorist attack.

Al-Bayoumi filmed the White House, the Capitol and the Supreme Court while giving a running commentary: “They say that our kids are demons. However, these are the demons of the White House.”

There’s lots of quality news coming out of the US.

The man filmed several major US buildings

He then takes a picture of a low-flying plane, saying: “Airport not far from here. Plane taking off.”

The film ends with al-Bayoumi filming two limousines outside the Capitol building, with the ominous voice over saying: “Their cars. You said that in the plan.”

Ten days after 9/11 Scotland Yard apprehended the mature student at his home in Birmingham. He was questioned by counter-terror detectives for seven days before being released without charge.

Scribblings about how far off the ground a plane could be were also discovered

It’s not known if al-Bayoumi’s hour-long tape was passed on to US officials at the time of 2001, reports SkyNews. The-then suspect was identified by the FBI as a “Saudi intelligence agent”, but told investigators his film was a simple tourist video while denying any part in 9/11.

However, the video was recently shown during a civil court case in New York, where the 9/11 victims and families are attempting to sue the Saudi government for complicity in the attacks.

9/11 survivor Sharon Premoli listened into the hearing and said: “Al-Bayoumi’s language was very incriminating. Two words he used in particular, one being the ‘demons’ inside the Capitol and number two ‘the plan’ he referred to. It’s not a tourist video, he was casing the buildings and the area.”

The video ended with what could have been an ominous warning

“Two words he used in particular, one being the ‘demons’ inside the Capitol and number two ‘the plan’ he referred to. It’s not a tourist video, he was casing the buildings and the area.”

Also shown in court was a piece of paper with al-Bayoumi’s mathematical scribblings about the distance of an aeroplane from the ground. The defendant’s lawyer claimed these were merely part of his teenage son’s homework.

The Saudi government has always denied its officials encouraged or supported the 9/11 terror attack.
