Tourists in China can visit an amazing replica of Paris, over 6,000 miles from the actual French capital.
The extraordinary City of Love can be found in a housing estate in China known as Tianducheng. The estate comes with an Eiffel Tower that casts a shadow over its surroundings along with an Arc de Triomphe, fountain from the Luxembourg Gardens and a Champs Elysées.
The buildings are complete in a neoclassical style anyone who is familiar with Paris will recognise, but Chinese residents have not really flocked to call the city home.

The Eiffel replica is the second largest of France’s most iconic site behind the Paris Las Vegas Hotel in Nevada. A report by Mail Online Travel called it an “eroding structure” and a “rusty replica standing at 350ft”.
The report said: “The extraordinary thing about this eroding structure was that it was rising up out of overgrown grass in the incapacitating Chinese humidity with a gaggle of female farmers tending to crops at its base in their straw hats.
“The replica of the famous structure took pride of place at the start of China’s very own Champs-Elysees.
“Walking down the Chinese version of the famous avenue, it’s not love that’s in the air. It’s the sound of silence.”
Indeed, despite the incredible views and amazing architecture, much of the town remains uninhabited.
But the population is growing, National Geographic reported, with numbers of residents now into the thousands. A healthy number of visitors from China have also been making their way to the town.
Visitors from abroad can visit too and a two hour train ride from Shanghai will set a person back around £15. The Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport is also around 15 miles away via taxi.
This faux-Paris project is not the first like-for-like China has embarked upon. One resort town on the outskirts of Beijing resembles Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
There is a “Route 66”, cowboys and even a replica of the famous Cowboy Bar.
The real Jackson Hole is surrounded on all sides by mountains and is vast, encompassing a length og 48 miles long and six to eight miles wide. Jackson Hole is around 400 square miles, far larger than its Chinese copy.
