Girl gave her boyfriend sick ultimatum – kill his mum in 5 hours or she would

A twisted teenager told her twice-her-age lover that if he didn’t kill his mother she’d take matters into her own hands – and did exactly that.

Kaitlyn Coones, 17, was dating a man nearly double her age but didn’t like his mum ‘interfering’ with their relationship. The teenager, from Toledo in Ohio, gave her boyfriend of two years a five-hour deadline to kill his mum and, when he failed, she took over.

She warned him if he failed at her ultimatum she would sort it out herself and as the deadline crept up, she gave her lover an hour extension. When he failed to kill her even then, Coones stepped in and smashed her over the head with a rock.

The teenager, from the United States, had a history of running away and went missing in April 2020 from a children’s home she was staying at. While authorities were concerned for her welfare and thought she may have been kidnapped, something else sinister was happening, reports the Mirror.

Her older boyfriend Jonathon Jones, 33, had been ordered to stay away from her by the courts after being convicted of charges relating to their relationship, which started when she was just 15. But they had sneakily met up at a local restaurant so they could be together.

When the children’s home reported Coones missing, the authorities were very concerned for her safety. But when a member of staff at the home received a message from the missing teen, it said she had “killed two people” and was on the run.

She also admitted one of the victims was Jones’ mother in the message. At the victim’s home, nobody was found. Nicole was missing and Coones and Jones had vanished.

A nationwide manhunt was launched after signs were found that someone had tried to clean up blood. The authorities’ theories that Jones had kidnapped Coones and killed his own mother, however, were far from the truth.

In an act of stupidity though, Jones was wearing a GPS device so the police were able to track him as the pair headed into Mexico and the pair were found with Nicole’s ID and credit cards.

The couple were questioned by the police when Coones brazenly admitted she was never kidnapped at all and that Nicole’s murder was all her idea. Coones said Nicole had been interfering in her relationship and it started pushing them apart, so she wanted Nicole gone.

Coones hit her victim over the head with the rock and strangled her to death. Jones was allegedly sitting in the living room at the time of the attack – but he helped her clean up the scene and get rid of the body before going on the run together.

In a sick attempt at justification, Coones told the police she thought the killing would “bring them closer together as a couple” and they were both charged with murder. Coones, now 18, and Jones, 34, were both sentenced to life in prison with the chance of parole after 25 years.
